Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the bark of Cinnamonum zeylanicum tree. The bark oil is superior to the leaf but it is more expensive. It has a warm, spicy aroma rather than the medicinal hint of the leaf oil
It is considered to be one of the first spices ever to be used in human history.
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is a natural antiseptic but is also used in massage to energise the senses and to relax stiff muscles and joints.
Cinnamon oil has a warming, comforting scent but is extremely potent and MUST be diluted to less than 5% in a carrier oil.
