Camphor and Ho Wood come from the same tree.
Camphor is distilled from the wood of the tree, while Ho Wood comes from the leaf and contains Linalol (80-90%).
Ho Wood Essential Oil properties are very similar to Camphor.
Mainly used in the fragrance industry.
Source: Cinnamomum camphora is grown in China.
Extraction: Ho wood essential oil is steam distilled from the branches and leaves of the Cinnamomum camphora tree, followed by rectification (similar to Rosewood).
Aroma: Ho Wood essential oil has a bright, warm, slightly woody scent.
Fragrance note: Middle.
Properties: Ho Wood essential oil is antiseptic, stimulating and relaxing to the mind. When well diluted it can be used as a chest rub, or to vaporise.
Uses: Massage, baths and vaporization.
Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cajeput, Chamomile, Geranium, Lavender, Sandalwood, Vertiver and Ylang Ylang.
Caution: Always dilute Ho Wood essential oil to less than 5% before applying to the skin.
