Using Essential oils
It is always wise to consult a qualified aromatherapist before using essential oils. Pure essential oils are concentrated, it is not necessary to use large amounts of oil.
Always dilute the oils to 5% or less with a carrier oil before applying to the skin.
Keep the oils away from children and from eyes and mouth.
Do not use the oils if pregnant, epileptic or suffering from high blood pressure.
The following is a basic guide.
Massage: Dilute 5 or 6 drops of essential oil to 100 ml of carrier oil.
Inhalation: Place one drop of oil on a tissue.
Bath: Add 6 drops of essential oil to a warm bath.
Vaporiser: Fill vaporiser cup to three quarters full with water and add 4 drops of oil.
Footbaths: Add 6 drops of oil to a bowl of warm water.
Steam Inhalation: Add 8 drops of oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale steam.
Always take note of the CAUTION given with the oil's description and properties.
Do not leave the cap off the bottle. Store essential oils in a cool dark place.
