Lavender Essential Oil is extracted from the leaves of the evergreen shrub.
It is cultivated in southern Europe and in countries as far apart as Australia and Britain.

Lavender oil was a favourite bath time cleaner for the ancient Romans.

The essential oil is one of the most commonly used.
It is both relaxing and stimulating, a powerful antiseptic, and it calms, refreshes, invigorates and lifts the spirits.

Because it is so gentle, it may be applied undiluted and is safe to use during pregnancy.

USES:

Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice, compress.
A few drops in a hot bath will make you feel pleasantly drowsy.
In a cool bath, Lavender essential oil will refresh and energise.
Inhale a few drops from a tissue to lift the spirits.

CAUTION:

Lavender essential oil is perfectly safe for home use.
