Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is extracted from the freshly picked flower of the tropical tree.
It is grown commercially in Madagascar, the Philippines and, Reunion Island.
Ylang-ylang was used by the islanders of tropical Asia to protect their hair.
It was first acted commercially by the Victorians in Macassar hair oil, an early conditioner and growth stimulator.
Since the flower has so sensual a fragrance, it has always been used to symbolise love.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil has a sweet potent floral smell, reminiscent of hyacinth or narcissus. It is aromatic, hypnotic and relaxing. It also is rejuvenating for skin and hair.
In aromatherapy, it is useful for calming tension, lifting negative woods and increasing sensuality.
USES:
Massage, baths, inhalation.
It is such a potent, sweet smell that it is best used sparingly. A few drops in any massage or bath will soothe
away stress, improve your mood and stimulate the senses. Ylang Ylang Essential Oil is one of the best oils for calming and relaxing without sedating.
CAUTION:
Ylang ylang essential oil is perfectly safe for home use as long as it is well diluted before application and used in moderation.
