MARIGOLD TAGETES (tagetes glandulifera)

Marigold Tagetes Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation the flowering plants.
It is grown commercially in Italy, France, Zimbabwe and other places.

This essential oil should not be confused with Calendula which has quite different properties

The pure Essential Oil has a rich, warm, earthy scent with overtones of fruit.

CAUTION

Marigold Tagetes essential oil should always be diluted to 5% or less in carrier oil before applying to the skin.

It is a powerful photo-sensitiser and should not be used during pregnancy or on small children
