LEMON (Citrus limon)

Lemon Essential Oil is extracted from the fresh rind of the fruit from the citrus tree.
It is grown commercially in Spain, Florida, Portugal, Italy, Israel and California.

Lemon was used by the ancient Romans to sweeten the breath, by the British Navy to prevent scurvy, and it is now used almost everywhere.

Pure Lemon essential oil has a tangy, fresh, citrus smell and is stimulating, invigorating, astringent, deodorising, and antiseptic.

In aromatherapy Lemon essential oil is useful for energising body, or warming hands and feet.

USES:

Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice. A few drops in a hot bath on a cold night will boost your circulation.
Use Lemon Essential Oil by inhaling it from a tissue to counter tiredness.
Use it on a cloth to disinfect or deodorise around the house or in a sickroom.

CAUTION:

Lemon essential oil should be used in moderation as it may irritate skin, especially if it is exposed to sunshine after application.
Store in a cool dark place.
