FRANKINCENSE (Boswellia carteri)
Frankincense Essential Oil is
extracted from the gum resin of the tree.
A native of Africa and the Middle
East, the resin is now collected as far afield as China and then processed in
Europe.
Frankincense has been treasured for centuries and was burnt as the original incense to appease the gods.
Pure Frankincense Essential Oil has a warm, rich smell with a tang of lemon and woody camphor. It is relaxing, uplifting calming and mildly antiseptic.
In aromatherapy it is excellent
for tiredness, grumpiness, negative moods.
It helps slow the breathing and
has calming effect.
USES:
Massage, inhalation. Add a
few drops of Frankincense Essential Oil to a massage oil.
Inhale it directly or add it
to a relaxing bath to remove stress and sweeten your mood.
CAUTIONS:
Frankincense Essential Oil is perfectly safe for home as long as it is diluted before application.
