EUCALYPTUS (Eucalyptus globulus)

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is extracted from the twigs and leaves of the Blue Gum tree. A native of Australia, it is now grown in California, Spain and Portugal.

Eucalyptus leaves were crushed and used by the Aborigines. The wood was used on cooking fires to flavour food.

The essential oil has a distinctive, stimulating smell and has been used in cough and cold remedies for decades.
It is a powerful antiseptic that kills airborne germs and has a cooling effect on skin.

USES:

Massage, baths, inhalation, poultice.
A few drops in a dish of hot water on a radiator will disinfect a room and make breathing easier at night, or use it for a chest massage in a steam bath, or on a hot chest poultice.

CAUTIONS:

Eucalyptus Essential Oil is Perfectly safe for home use as long as it is diluted before application.
