CINNAMON (Cinnamonum Zeylanicum)

Cinnamon essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves.

The oil is golden yellow to brown in colour. It has a strong peppery, spicy, earthy aroma.

CAUTION :

Always dilute Cinnamon essential oil to 5% or less in a carrier oil before application to the skin.
Cinnamon oil is a mucous membrane irritant and strong skin sensitizer.
Avoid in alcoholism, in haemophilia, in prostatic cancer, with kidney and liver problems and if taking anticoagulants.
