There wasn’t going to be a second article on myth-busting essential oils. We knew essential oil education was important, but we had no idea how many people wanted it. As thousands of readers visited our site for the first post, we decided it would be our mission to spread better information on essential oils. 

So what does this tell us? As a preliminary study, it’s clear that bergamot essential oil could be effective in aromatherapy for improving mood. But it would be interesting to see how long these results last, whether they can be maintained over an extended period, and whether any other essential oils demonstrate these effects too. 

While essential oils have remained a staple in alternative medicine for centuries, the way they’re being used is changing. So much so, that the new Netflix series (un)well explored both sides of the essential oils debate, showing how essential oil users could get it right, and also quite wrong. 

If you want to dilute essential oils safely, you’re probably thinking ‘hey, just add a little jojoba oil and you’re good to go!’ But what if you want to use something other than a carrier oil? We all know oil and water don’t mix, and so essential oils won’t combine with non-oil-based substances unless you add a few magic ingredients to your recipes. 

You might be working with a smaller budget at the moment, but there’s no reason you can’t still enjoy using essential oils. That’s why we’re sharing some of our simple methods for making your essential oils go the extra mile, and preserving their quality when you store them.
